We wanted to get away from the city for a weekend, looking for a calm place where hiking with dogs is possible, but not too crowded, still easy to get to from Barcelona and with a good restaurant and we found it all here. A great stay it was. I wouldn't however recommend it with small children. The hosts are very friendly and engaged
Hotel Rural Font Del Genil is a gem. It is located in the most picturesque mediaeval stone house village in the Pyrenees. With views up to snow covered mountains, our stay was perfect. The three young people who hosted us were delightful. We had no Catalan language (sorry!) and they had minimal English but we were looked after perfectly. The room was beautiful. Ochre coloured walks, floor heated with views out to the mountains. Highly recommended as a really special experience.
Amazing hotel in a very picturesque small town with lovely views of the mountains. We had a car as the location is quite remote. The hosts were so friendly and lovey. We didn’t speak Spanish but they helped us in English and with google translate. They were very helpful. Bed was comfortable and the restaurant in the hotel served delicious food. Goats cheese salad and cheese fondue is a must.
Hotel rural font del genil exceeded our expectations. Parking was easy, and dropping off luggage was easy as well. There is no elevator but the stairs are nice and wide. We had the room with mountain view which was beautiful in the morning. The shower had good pressure and was warm. The room thermostat was responsive. Above all the couple operating everything were super friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is beautiful. Pity one of the hiking trails appeared to be closed off.
