We regularly stay at Mim Baqueira – Meliá Collection as a family. Overall, the hotel is quite good: excellent breakfasts, a very convenient location next to the ski lift, and a generally pleasant atmosphere. We especially like the Junior Suite rooms — in my opinion, they are the main reason to choose Mim Baqueira, as they are among the best rooms at the resort. That said, during peak season the pricing is sometimes hard to justify, as a neighboring hotel offers better room quality and amenities for the same price. Taking that into account, we still like this hotel overall. Unfortunately, during our most recent stay we experienced a very serious and unpleasant incident. After housekeeping, I poured water into a glass in our room and took a sip — and suddenly felt a sharp piece of glass at my throat. It turned out that a broken shard from the glass was inside, lying at the bottom and almost impossible to see due to the transparency. Thankfully, I noticed it in time and spat it out. Otherwise, the situation could have ended very tragically. This raises serious concerns about glassware quality control and staff procedures, especially in a 5-star hotel and particularly for suite-category guests. I reported this immediately to the Guest Experience Manager, Maria. She apologized and said she would speak to the supervisor — and that was the end of it. No one followed up with us, and the glass was not even replaced or removed. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel of this level. I would also like to mention that since the hotel transitioned to the Meliá brand, service quality has noticeably declined. Reception staff are not familiar with Meliá loyalty program benefits (such as birthday upgrades), claim these options do not exist, and only acknowledge them when you insist and show proof yourself. Additionally, we reported a large floor lamp in our Junior Suite that did not work for all three days of our stay. We were told a technician would be sent, but no one ever came. Moreover, we had a very unpleasant experience at the hotel restaurant Hincha. We were charged for an additional bottle of wine that we neither ordered nor consumed, priced at €75. Considering that our total bill was already higher than that of other guests, this felt particularly inappropriate and disappointing. To make matters worse, the same bottle was listed in the menu at €65, yet appeared on the bill at a €10 higher price without any explanation. This is especially concerning given that Hincha positions itself as a restaurant by a Michelin-starred chef, where transparency and attention to detail should be absolute standards. These issues are disappointing. In my opinion, this hotel is worth considering only when rates are reasonable. When prices are high, I would recommend choosing the neighboring hotel, where the level of service truly matches a 5-star standard and the rooms and interiors are superior.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel with our family and children. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent. The hotel is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and ideal for families. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming — muy amables — and always happy to help. The food was amazing, with great quality and variety, and the buffet truly stood out. A very special thank you to the buffet manager Yamy and her fantastic team: Laura, Rony, Barbara, and Adrian. They did an amazing job every single day and consistently went the extra mile to provide an over-the-top service experience. Their attention, kindness, and professionalism made our stay even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend this hotel to families. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Very good experience overall, just a little cheeky to charge for crisps that are next to the free waters in the room. (Especially if you charge the same kilo price as vanilla from Madagascar) Decent spa, fantastic breakfast and good restaurant. (If you’re gluten intolerant it’s slightly more difficult for ya) Rooms are on the smaller side for a skiing experience (double room), but bathrooms are niiice. If you want a smooth experience from hotel to slope, this is it!
