This is a classic, old-school hotel, located right next to one of Europe’s most beautiful national parks, and close to nine Romanesque churches that are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. We really felt transported back to another time here, where one can escape from the craziness of the world and just relax. The staff were all charming, the food and drinks were delicious, and our room was spacious and adapted for my needs as a wheelchair user. I’m so glad we discovered this hotel, and recommend it heartily. The Vall de Boi is an overlooked gem, and Hotel Manantiel is the perfect place to stay when you get here.

Good breakfast, nice rooms and nature, very nice staff, but the spa is overrated. It seems like this entire establishment is catered to seniors with a large senior clientele, at least at this time of year. Definitely a bit dated.

The hotel is decent, excellent location and breakfast is good. But the spa is not worth it, small expensive and a bit outdated. Food at the bar was very bad quality, we paid 60€ for a few bad tapas for 2 people. If they fix these few things then i would recommend it

As a previous guest has stated it is difficult to understand the bad reviews here. We just returned from 4 lovely nights at Hotel Mantantial, with excursions to the national park as well as enjoying spa treatments and the pool. Our room (2 bedroom family) was spotless. The bathroom finished to a good standard, excellent shower pressure and fluffy towels that would be the envy of a 5 star hotel. The beds were comfortable. Perhaps the pillows were a little tired but doubled up gave a good night sleep. Breakfast was a handsome buffet with coffee on tap. Orange juice was freshly squeezed every day except the last. Not sure if they ran out. Staff here and in the restaurant worked tirelessly. Gold star for service. So why only a three star rating for service? The idiot on the front desk who both times failed to get our picnic sandwiches correct, and didn’t pass on our Friday night reservation for dinner. Perhaps a better set up for dealing with restaurant and meals. Despite this irritation we wouldn’t hesitate to return. The communal areas are in need of some renovation but it takes time and investment to do this. It’s a 60s hotel with a mountain style. If that’s not your thing there are plenty of hostels in the villages locally to accommodate you. It’s clear some families return year after year. We can see why. A big thank you to everyone except for idiot on the front desk.

The hotel service is great, the rooms are clean, and very comfortable. The best thing is the spa with lots of different treatments, waters, and saunas. The hotel has a great atmosphere with beautiful surroundings and views.
