Other reviews got me worried, but this hotel deserves top ranking for a central hotel that caters for cyclists. I usually stay at hotel Eth Pomer, but that isn't open in May. OK, our room didn't have air-conditioning , but a ceiling fan is fine for 35C daytime and 20C nighttime . The breakfast is ample & fab. Being a rather affordable hotel , they attract breakfast squirrellers looking to stuff their rucksacks with a sizeable picnic lunch, so the more expensive buffet items are dispensed by a member of staff (by no means stingy). This will now be my go-to Vielha hotel, being so central, cyclist friendly, and ticking all the more important boxes. The hotel bar is well worth a visit for a night-cap after cruising the bars (such as Refu).

Completely loved cozy hotel Aran La Abuela. Very well located in the center of Vielha, close by restaurants and shops, as well as 200mts from public parking slot. Service was super nice, food of good quality and variety. We did not experience pool and sauna as it has an extra cost.

Excellent, highly accommodating staff and comfortable bed. Completely charming in the Aranese town of Vielha. Vielha itself has much to recommend it, and the hotel staff gave us some helpful pointers. Spent 1 night unexpectedly because of a day travelling narrow canyons through heavy storms with lightning and hail leading to. timing problem with the place we’d arranged further up the valley in a ski area and so just needed a good nights sleep. We got more than that for a reasonable price. Recommended!

Stopped for one night after heavy rainfall in the mountains. Owner was very nice, however I was not able to get my bike into a room and should use Parking in a garage. Which is few minutes walk and not a big issue on most occasions except when your shoes are full of water. Room had a very good dryer which was extremely useful. I lke the rustic and old feeling of the hotel, felt unique.
